Who were the wise men, and how many wise men were there? Why did they journey to Jerusalem from the east, and what did they hope to find at their journey’s end? How did the wise men know to look for a star, and what caused them to understand the meaning of the star when they observed its appearance in the night sky? Finally, what are the truths that God intends for us to learn from their brief appearance in the Scriptures?
